Tucked right next to Camp Richardson on the South Shore, it hands you estate lawns, a historic boathouse, tall pines, and open lakeshore, oh and the pier, all within a five minute walk of each other. For a family visiting from out of state, that is the dream. One easy afternoon in one beautiful spot, and we still came away with a full range of looks without adding a single extra stop to their trip. Honestly, I just love sharing a piece of our heaven out here in Lake Tahoe. It is part of the fun, and part of the experience, for me.

We moved through the location as the light shifted. Soft golden tones on the grass, moody boathouse texture, then open water views, each backdrop giving a different feel without losing time to travel between spots.
The Look, and the Shift That Happened Mid Session
She started in the little white dress that so many seniors reach for, a staple that photographs beautifully against Tahoe’s natural backdrops. My direction and the way we composed each frame gave the final images a polished, model like quality. Then she changed into her casual outfit, plaid and jeans, and her whole demeanor shifted. She settled into herself, more at ease, and that ease carried through the rest of the session.
Home Video Footage from Replay Tahoe
Her sister used a retro camcorder from my rental fleet at Replay Tahoe to capture behind the scenes footage in true home video style. Alongside the polished gallery, this family now has warm, nostalgic footage of the session itself, a keepsake for the whole family, not just the senior.
