Lake Tahoe senior photos at Sugar Pine Point State Park are always a favorite. The tall pines, soft lake breeze, and morning light create a setting that feels wild and timeless. For this session I photographed the youngest in a family I have known for many years. I first captured his parents’ wedding twenty years ago and later both of his beautiful sisters’ senior portraits.
Moments like this remind me why I love being a Lake Tahoe senior photographer. Capturing milestones in a family’s life, year after year, is what drives me and what makes my work so meaningful.
Lake Tahoe senior photos during summer light at Sugar Pine Point
We met on a late summer morning when the lake shimmered bright and the air was calm, not a cloud in the sky. Sugar Pine Point State Park is one of my favorite lake locations because it offers so many different backdrops in one place and is easy access. There are tall trees, mossy textures, weathered stumps, open trails, a beautiful pier and that perfect view of Lake Tahoe.

Sugar Pine Point State Park
Late mornings here are more vibrant than golden hour, but there is always beautiful light to be found in the trees. The combination of forest greens and lake blues makes this place shine in every situation being time of day or season.
