Bonjour! I’m Annie, the heart and lens behind Annie X Photographie. Based in Truckee and working across Lake Tahoe, Reno, and beyond. I’m a photographer with a love for real connection, natural light, and images that feel as effortless as they are editorial.

A Career rooted in style and story

Photography has been part of my life since my teenage years. I was always the one with a camera in hand at parties, long before we all carried one in our pockets. I studied fashion in Montreal and went on to work with iconic brands like Nike and Columbia Sportswear, all while nurturing my love for photography in my personal adventures. In 2001, I officially launched my full time photography business while working on the World Cup mountain bike circuit.

Balancing Creativity and Motherhood

Eventually, I traded international travel for a life rooted in Truckee, seeking a balance that would allow me to raise my son while staying creatively fulfilled. As a single mom, the juggle was real! Balancing shoots, editing, parenting, and building a business often felt nonstop. Slowing down wasn’t really an option. But I, we, did it! and that season shaped the heart of my work: grounded, resilient, and deeply intentional. Flexibility and presence became just as important as the art itself. I built a business that reflects my creative drive while making space for real life. It’s fulfilling, steady, and rooted in what matters most.

Where I am Today

Today, I’m in a different season. One where creativity feels expansive and grounded. I create fun, fresh, fine art inspired images for couples, families, seniors, events, and brands. My style is best described as Vogue meets real life. Elevated, joyful, and true to you.
