This session was especially fun, a senior girl who splits her time between Idaho, Jackson, and Tahoe, bringing her own sense of western flair to the lake. As a young ski racer, she moves with confidence and ease, and that energy came through in every frame. Her cowgirl hat and boots added the perfect touch of personality, a nod to her roots . Love the western inspired senior photos and photographed at one of my favorite location in this area. It offers it all and I can keep it fresh depending on timing of light and which zone we explore with our time together.
We photographed along the West Shore, one of my favorite places for Tahoe senior portraits. The mountains glowed as the sun set, the lake turned to gold, and the whole scene felt both effortless and cinematic. The West Shore always has this calm, timeless energy that makes every session feel different yet deeply Tahoe.
What I love most about senior sessions is how each one reflects a different personality. Some seniors want the edge of an editorial look, others want something soft and simple, and some, like this one, bring their own sense of style that ties it all together. We all share a love for the outdoors and the freedom that comes with growing up in places like Tahoe.
