Whether that’s a mountain top meadow or a lakefront lodge. Let’s talk about what you’re dreaming of and how to plan your best day ever around the best light, location and vibe.

Photographer Insights

I adapt to each venue by arriving early, scouting the location and mapping how light moves throughout the day. My priority is to come prepared with a plan tailored to the space, your timeline, and the natural backdrops available.

Private residences and wilderness locations beyond the main Tahoe basin are some of my favorite settings. These places offer something truly personal and unmatched in character. If you decide to plan a winter wedding you get bonus points! this place is truly magical.

Are any Tahoe wedding venues closing or changing availability?

Yes, some long-standing venues are currently in flux. West Shore Café and the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe have both hosted countless beautiful weddings over the years including many I’ve photographed but as of now, they may be shifting toward private use or undergoing redevelopment. If either comes back online for weddings, they’ll continue to be top-tier locations for lakefront celebrations.
The good news? There’s always something new opening up, too. The Lodge at Tahoe Donner is now accepting weddings again, and Sugar Bowl has added Royal Gorge as a venue option for couples wanting a dramatic alpine setting. And beyond the venue list, private lakefront estates and mountaintop homes remain some of the most personal and photogenic places to get married in Tahoe.
