FAQ About Lake Tahoe Lakefront Wedding Venues
Can I get married right on the lake in Tahoe?
Yes, many venues offer beachfront or dockside ceremonies with Lake Tahoe as your backdrop.
Are lakefront venues more expensive?
It depends on the venue and services included. Private beach clubs tend to be higher end, while state parks and public event centers may offer more flexibility. I would ask for weekdays options if looking for more flexibility.
When is the best time for a lakefront wedding in Tahoe?
Late spring to early fall offers nice weather and less crowds.
Why are the Hyatt and West Shore Café not included in this list?
Unfortunately, both venues are currently closed for construction and are not accepting wedding bookings. Their future as public venues remains uncertain, with plans possibly shifting to private use by 2026.
How do I choose between South and North Shore venues?
South Lake Tahoe has more nightlife and large resorts, while North Shore offers a quieter, more nature-inspired vibe. Most of the venues in this post are located on the North Shore. I have not included most State Parks options or South Lake Proper. I will post more SLT like Round Hill Pines, Edgewood, Ridge, the Landing, Beach retreat… all locations which I have photographed.
Can you help us choose the best spot for our vision?
Absolutely. Let’s talk about the setting and atmosphere you want, and I’ll help guide you to the best lakefront location for your wedding story. The number of guests will also dictate options as well.
